You ready to get your dome blown? Richmond Virginia's very own Butcher Brown freshly released their LP #KingButch that is laced with straight dynamite, all the way from track one to track thirteen. Don't bother putting a stamp to just one genre on here, the sounds are brilliantly laced with eclectic rhythms that'll send yourself to a whole nother time zone. It's a melting pot filled with regal ingredients of the necessary antidote that we all need for music today, especially with our whole world being flipped upside down. The jazz, the funk, the soul, and the phenomenal dash's of classic hip-hop modulations are brilliantly implemented on this whole LP. Just off the first intro joint "Fonkadelica", you can hear the subtle ode to the classic group Funkadelic from the funky fresh vocals to the stone-cold drums. Digging deeper off of track eleven with "Tidal Wave" the prompted head-bopping came as quick as the volume button started going up. And, once again, a gracious ode is delivered to the original sample of "Tidal Wave" by Ronnie Laws. But, let's also not forget to tie in the 1993 "Who Got Da Props" classic jawn from Black Moon.

Butcher Brown has distinguishedly developed their own design for altering classic compositions that we all know and love while organically producing innovative sounds. And, with a great surprise on track twelve "For The City" is a feature from another astounding Virginia artist, Fly Anakin. You can absolutely feel the expressions of pride and honor of being raised out in Richmond, it's liberating.

Butcher Brown reminds us of the true artistry of what it means to conduct remarkable music.
